Aloe vera fights constipation

The latex of the aloe vera plant (the yellow aloin on the outer surface of the leaves) contains molecules called “anthranoids” that have laxative properties and fight constipation. The World Health Organization and several studies have confirmed this property.

How to use aloe vera for constipation
If you are constipated, you can eat 50 mg of aloe vera gum. You can increase this amount up to 200 mg per day, but you should not take more than this amount. Note that aloe vera gum should be used with the advice of a doctor.
This herb treats transient constipation. Long-term use of aloe vera, like all other laxatives, causes serious damage, such as colorectal cancer. The results of a research conducted in 2002 show that excessive and long-term use can cause serious damage to the kidneys.

Note that the oral consumption of this plant is not recommended for pregnant, lactating women and children under 6 years of age.
